I woke up this morning to find my Dish 6000 displaying an "Acquiring Satellite Signal" message. It stayed that way for a couple of hours. I called Dish thinking that on some off chance they might have an answer, but no luck. I suspected my 8PSK module had died, so I switched the receiver out with another one in the bedroom. No luck, proving the cabling was okay but the receiver wasn't. However, I had been forward thinking enough back when Dish was giving away the spare modules that I ordered one of each (8PSK and 8VSB). I pulled the old 8PSK and replaced it with the new one I had been holding onto for about a year, and for good measure I replaced the 8VSB as well. It worked!! I am back in business. However, I was beginning to get a little excited that I might have a good reason to go ahead and order the 921 for $549.
