IR doesn't go through walls but it might bounce off them if you are lucky.

If you don't already have the 21, a 40 would be a better choice.

Can I use it as an RF Remote from an adjacent room set to Address 1?

If the answer is yes, and since I own several 21.1 UHF Pro Remotes, will the ones I have perform all the same functions as a 40 Remote in by UHF in the same room or from an adjacent room through walls?
