Does the 722k "My Groups" feature work ..or no?

I'll be glad to give my details if & when necessary but, in the meantime and in a nutshell...
Are any of you actually able to use the "My Groups" feature on a DISH network 722K DVR?

If unfamiliar, I refer to this. (Note this links to the "cached" version as the actual was removed from the DISH site. Might this be why?)

I've been unable to use this with any 722K I've had. I'm wondering if it is due to an (hardware) issue for me with every receiver I've received or if it's a bug in the software and this feature simply doesn't work!

UPDATE:

A friend of mine also has a 722k receiver. He tried and reports that he was, indeed, able to create "a group with two episodes ..bundled within." and then "was able to create, edit and delete the group" Apparently, this function sometimes works. What are possible explanations for why only sometimes or on certain machines? Firmware version?
