DIRECTV Transponder Map ~ Data 3/13/2024

For whatever reason SD duplicates don't automatically get removed whenever their HD counterpart is added, so you have to toggle the setting to remove it. I'm guessing they intentionally did that back in the day to give people a chance to move series recordings over and adjust their favorites whenever a new HD feed launched.

With SD dupes disabled on my client, but enabled on my server, my client now shows two HD and SD PADRES channels.
694-1 BSSDEHD still says "Upcoming: Cubs @ Padre"

I’m sure DTV emailed all hotel operators they serve in the Padres territory to reprogram the headend COM2000/3000 systems to change an assigned channel from 694 to 694.3
I have a few channel lineups from hotels I’ve been to that have such systems and not a single channel on any of them is an RSN.

I've made documents with the lineups (the name of hotel and its location is the file name). Do you see an RSN on any of
these? I don't think so!
For reference, York is in ATTSN Pittsburgh, MASN, and NBCS Washington territory.
Fredericksburg is in MASN and NBCS Washington territory
Dickson City is in MSG, SNY, YES, and ATTSN Pittsburgh territory

It depends on the chain and the type of crowd that frequents the hotel. Like the Hyatt I stayed at in Lexington is attatched to the Rupp Arena, so the hotel TVs had the localized Kentucky feeds of Ohio (Reds, Cavaliers, Blue Jackets) and South (Predators and Grizzlies) via Spectrum mixed with their DIRECTV fed national channels. The hotel I stayed at in Vegas had Bally West but not ATTSN Rocky Mountain West, although you could just go down to the sportsbook where they had every live game playing on the giant video wall. The Holiday Inn I stayed at on eastern Long Island 2 years ago had all 4 of NYC's RSNs via DIRECTV.

475 EWTN Espanol is now live as a MPEG-4/SD channel, and is also available to stream in HD via the app

The targetted promo channels 9750 BEAM (Protection Plan), 9751 GIFT (Sports pack on us) and 9752 GIFT (Extra Innings on us) are now live too.

DIRECTV dropped the Bally San Diego Extra channels today as they were only used to provide Spanish language Padres telecasts and the occasional Clippers or Ducks game that conflicted with the Padres.

For the most part Bally San Diego reverted to being a simulcast of SoCal, except San Diego gets filler from the national Base feed instead of the morning infomercial block and they don't get Orange County SC USL Soccer matches.

EDIT: The Bankruptcy judge also forced Diamond to fully pay the Diamondbacks, Guardians, Twins and Rangers.

It seems to mostly be MLB teams that Diamond is having trouble with. Hopefully they don't miss a payment to the Braves because Myrtle Beach (where I'm going in just over a week) is in their territory.

Authorization is done on the feed level not the channel level, so even if it doesn't revert to ka offline by the start of 65, you'll just get a Press OK/Call to order message after the 5 minute preview.

EDIT: It switched to Ka Offline at 10pm ET

I see, the neat thing on MLB.TV is that you can switch to Spanish commentary on some games via the audio from a local radio station airing the game (e.g. the Marlins-Padres game from two nights ago had Spanish audio available via WAQI 710 (home) and XEMO 860 (away).)

It looks like Diamond killed off all of Bally San Diego's unique programming, after the Padres postgame it started showing the programming of their national Base feed that is used as filler on the Extra feeds instead of what was scheduled to air.

I wouldn't be surprised if it they eventually pull the plug on the seperate San Diego feed and by this fall they revert to giving San Diego viewers Clippers and Ducks games via Bally Sports SoCal, as FSN San Diego started out as a regional subfeed of Prime Ticket.
I also wouldn't be surprised if they move the PADRES channel from 694-3 to 694-1, since like you said before they dropped the Extra channels. Also, the PADRES channel seems to have entirely replaced Bally San Diego on Stream, per this notice at the top of the TV Promise page:
DIRECTV, DIRECTV STREAM, and U-verse will continue to provide live coverage of MLB San Diego Padres games on channels 694-3 (satellite), 694 (via Internet), and 1781/781 (U-verse) to qualified customers.

It says 694 for Internet/Stream because the app's guide data API still doesn't support subchannel numbers at all, so they get both Bally San Diego and Padres on 694.

It's also why for satellite customers telling your receiver to tune to a subchannel from the "new and improved" app's guide just sends you to the primary channel. i.e. telling your receiver to tune to 249-1 Comedy West from the app's guide tunes to 249 Comedy East, 325-1 JLTV tunes to 325 FRESH, selecting any RSN alternate tunes to the main feed, etc.

This has been an ongoing issue long before they merged the apps because many of the RSN alternates appear out of order before the main feed, which screws up numeric tuning by remote. It also affects satellite customers who are watching via the app since some west coast feeds appear before the east coast feed, and the guide UI only shows logos instead of the callsigns that will tell you the difference, so you might tune to "245" a few minutes before AEW Collision's premiere in 2 weeks, and end up missing CM Punk's return that will likely kick off the show because TNT West appears before TNT East.
