Dp34 Switch

This afternoon it seems the DP34 switch failed.I did a switch test and was told that the switch is in error.Should I get getting a signal reading on all three satellites if the switch is bad.Shouldn't these switches last years.I have a service call on Wednesday.Any way of making this switch work again????

Disconnect all connections at the switch and wait a minute or so. Then connect everything back and run check switch on the receivers. This should reset the switch. If you get nothing after doing the check switch, you probably have a bad switch.

Thanks I will try this tonight when I get off from work.I was able to buy a back up switch on ebay for $20.00 plus shipping and a new switch at that.I would rather be without my dish then have cable.

It might work for a little while then quit working again if it is reset (wires unconnected then connected back again).
