Here are the software release notes for the DTVPal DVR. Software version F206.

  • <LI style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1" class=MsoNormal>Trick modes now have a smoother frame rate comparable to other DISH Network DVRs <LI style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1" class=MsoNormal>Enhancements to skip forward / backwards functionality <LI style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1" class=MsoNormal>Added option to record entire event (note: can only extend back to channel change) <LI style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1" class=MsoNormal>Trick modes are now functional when 2 recordings are active <LI style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1" class=MsoNormal>Improved handling of low and no signal <LI style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1" class=MsoNormal>Added option to switch on/off use of TV Guide data in EPG <LI style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1" class=MsoNormal>Improved support for disk full <LI style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1" class=MsoNormal>Addition of a delete button in the 'DVR event' screen after a recording has finished <LI style="mso-list: l0 level1 lfo1" class=MsoNormal>Addition of a low battery notification
  • Added mode reminder popup (means that if you take the converter box out of Satellite mode, there will be a popup on the screen telling you that you're going out of Satellite mode)

Was the text for the first bullet supposed to be: Fixed constant rebooting problems.

I removed the tags - that should make it a bit easier to read (hopefully I did not miss anything)
 
This is the first time I've known of Dish to employ the terminology "trick modes" which we all know what it is but it's usually called something else.
