Dumb antenna question

Excuse me for asking a really dumb question but I just bought a channel master 4221 and having no experience with antennas I don't know which is the front and which is the back. I'm assuming the mesh goes to the front and the bow ties are in the rear but I want to make sure. I don't want to aim it backwards.

No, the mesh is at the back and the bowties point towards the transmitters.
