Just a few questions about recording off dish. First. I have a dvd recorder and S-VHS recorder. (Love them, and dont want to use a DVR , I like physical media) I have just the normal dish receiver and now it records fine.

If i was to get a HD package and receiver would It hook up to the DVD and S-VHS recorders and record? in SD? I know they cant record HD, also will I be abile to record off TV land and HBO, like i do today? thanks.

Yes, just send the S-Video to your S-VHS recorder and the Composite (yellow) video to the DVD-R. Then use a splitter for the audio. The new receiver should hook up the same way as your old one, and you will be able to record as normal - only difference is that your HD channels will be down-converted when you put then on DVD/VHS.

Hope that helps.
