DVD Recorder with COMPONENT /HD input?

is there a such thing or similar to DVD Rcorder with either component or hdmi (I doubt latter) input so I can record hd content in hd resolution from OTA and dish sub.

while I am at it for this imaginary product, is there recorder with optical input for 5.1 audio?

I have regular dvd rcorder which was ok for 480ì display.

some may ask; dvd r are not big enough. dvdr-dl are big enough to hold 3 hours of 720p display and most of recorder can support them.

You're in the wrong forum. If you're a dish sub, get a 622/722. Tivo has boxes that record OTA. You can also set up a HTPC that can record OTA. You can not record dish material on anything but their DVR's in HD.
