Can the DVR921 be used as a OTA receiver like the 811 or 942 if it is connected to a dish? Does it need a smart card to be used for this purpose? Thanks
The receiver need to be pointed to at least one dish and must be activated in order to have the ota work, which would mean an active smart card. Dish will also try to replace the receiver due to the injunction with TIVO.
