DVR records but not play (is blocked)

Hi,
I have a directv DVR that i bought from a second person not directly to directv, i can use the record function of the dvr but when i try to see the program i recorded it shows a message and dont let me see anithing recorded ( the message is "buscando contenido autorizado" searching for athorized content) then tell me if i want to delete or not the program.

I supose is blocked some way, anybody knows how to unblock this feature an use it.

I'm not sure how it works in South America but here (US) you need to call & have the DVR/card authorized to your account (which may be a whole other problem if you bought leased equipment from a 3rd party) & you need to have DVR service added to your package (if you don't already have it).
