DVR remote keeps dying

I have enough remotes, but I have noticed the occasional DVR remote usually 6.0 or 6.3 that just chews up batteries. I mean literally having to change batteries every other day. Does anyone know what is shorting out to cause this? Has anyone else experienced this with their remotes?

If there is a fix, I'll try it since the remote isn't worth anything in the state it's in now. Just curious since I don't remember seeing any other posts about batteries dying.

Thanks for the advice, but if you read my OP you would have noticed that I already have enough remotes.
