DVR Search Question

The only way I know of is to use the channel locks feature. You would have to lock out all the channels you don't receive, then only the channels you receive should show up on the search. Currently, I use channel locks to hide the SD versions of my HD channels. I can't stand seeing both of them when I NEVER watch the SD anyway, but I know it is there if an Iridium or run-away Russian satellite should ever collide with Ceil 2 at 129:).

I hear you. I will often get a search result with several international channels mixed in--and the internationals play that title multiple times a week. What a headache!

Anyone else, know of a better way?

If you set up a Dish-pass timer instead of a search, then you can limit to a specific channel, newness, and/or HD or SD. There is a limit of 96 timers, several hundred events on all timers, and say the latest 36 searches. My two 722s are near the limit on timers and searches all the time with no overlap. Some films just come up so seldom but I would hate to miss them. But remember to remove the pass when you get the result so you can add the next one.

Happy to be of service.
And what a time-saver as well. It helps in many more areas than just searches. I go to my folks house and they have hundreds of channels to sort through that they don't even get.

One thing to note is that if dish changes which channels you get - you may have accidentally locked a channel you are now getting, so it's good to check once in a while.

I just got CSPAN on Thursday! Yipee! :D
