The "skip ahead" button on my Philips remote has stopped working in the last few days. Tried changing its setting from 1-minute increments to 30-seconds, but still no luck. Dunno if it's a glitch in the latest software upgrade or a conscious business decision to placate broadcasters in bed with Verizon's V-Cast who don't want viewers skipping through the commercials that pay their bills.

Lack of such a feature will surely keep me from ever considering Fios for video service. But I look forward to them for voice & internet.

It wasn't the software, it was my remote!

:o FiOS sent me a new remote and the skip-ahead button works fine. Sorry for my paranoia that the function might have been disabled for business reasons.
