dvr stops after 17 minutes

My wife records a lot of programs during the day and about once a week a a program will stop in the middle. Today her show stopped after 17 minutes. Our dvr is the 722K receiver. Do any of you have any ideas? I don't think that the receiver lost signal and it is a clear day.

Are you running out of HD space? If not, try a one minute plug pull.

No. I have a lot of space. The wife clears it off quickly. I will do the 1 minute unplug.

When is the daily reset set for?

The reset may happen even if recording and will stop it. I also complain about a 4:12 AM "User 1" stop on my 722 recorder(s). I have not heard of others with this.
