DVR to Computer Video capture

I am currently looking for any cheap capture card that will record from my D* Tv DVR to my computer so I can save the show to DVD.

The big problem I have found in my seach is the lack of HDMI or digital inputs all the capture cards seem to be analog only. Anyone have any good suggestion for D* TV friendly DVR capture devices.

Well, HDCP was finally cracked this week. This problem is going to get a whole lot easier to solve in the near future. For now, you are stuck with Analog connections only though.

Buy a dvd recorder and connect it to your tv and record the tv show to a dvd that way. A lot better connection for hd.

DVD recorders are all SD only, but it's still a good solution. If you play the DVDs back with a good upscaling player they look pretty good.

There are HDMI based capture card out there to use with Video Cameras, video from PS3 etc.
With HDCP cracked, everything will just get better.
