EA to make new Star Wars games

This really is almost too good to be true, or at least to be done well. In a perfect world, you could have Bioware work on another KOTOR game, DICE make BF3, and Visceral work on TFU. If it can be pulled off right then it will be fantastic, but EA hasn't exactly wowed me with any of their business decisions for quite a long time.

Having them remake the X-wing/Tie Fighter games would be interesting, especially with today's technology.

The Irony is/was that BF3 was 90% completed when it was canned. The leaked vids were really cool!

I always enjoyed the Dark Forces/Jedi Knight series...but I would geek out for another Force Unleashed!

That all sounds great to me. Yes they are cheap and I hate their microtransactions but they have made some great games this generation.

Battlefront 2 was one of my first and favorite Xbox Live experiences on the original Xbox. I think Dice could really do something great with that franchise. Now that Metal of Honor isn't going to be in their cycle with Battlefield anymore they could replace it with Battlefront. I think the Battlefield combat both on foot and in vehicles would fit great in the Star Wars universe.

Another Bioware KOTOR game would probably excite me the most though. KOTOR was great and I love was Bioware did with Mass Effect this generation. I know they said they are done with Sheppard's story but I hope they continue to make games in the Mass Effect universe or maybe some new Sci-Fi IP though.

Perhaps we'll now be seeing characters from a galaxy far, far away make an appearance in the next Mass Effect incarnation. lol

But seriously, I'm excited. I love Star Wars; it's my all-time favorite franchise, but the only console games that drew my interest enough to play this generation were done in LEGOs.

I thought The Force Unleashed was decent. The sequel was a complete mess though.

I am looking forward to it for the simple fact that since the days of X-Wing vs Tie Fighter it seems like we've had only 5-6 Star Wars games.
