No.

You need:
- 100% ViP MPEG4 receivers
- 3G (purple) SmartCards
- Dish 1000.4 (reflector & LNB)

If you're reasonably good with a wrench and have a compass the install isn't too bad. I was able to get everything dialed in pretty easily just using the "Point Dish" screen on the receiver and the Slingplayer app on my Sprint Mogul cell phone.

The 500+ with the EA upgrade kit linked by 8bitbytes will apparently work, but the 500+ as originally configured will not because the sat spacings on EA are different than WA.
