OK. We're in a market where Eastern Arc is only offered to new customers. I've got a customer who wants four standard definition TVs hooked up, with no DVR functions. I figured two 322s, but they do NOT have line of sight for 110 and 119. They want Dish Network bad enough to upgrade to HD just to get programming off the eastern arc. Is that necessary, or is there a way to get Dish Network to activate receivers off the eastern arc without HD?

Also, I know the 322s are MPEG2. I also know the Eastern Arc is all MPEG4. What would be the ideal reciever setup if we can't use 311s or 322s? I suppose one 222... but then what? Ideally, it would be four standard definition MPEG4s recievers...

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

You can only use vip receivers for EA. You can use them and pay a fee for not subscribing to HD, I think it is 8.00. By by the time you pay the fee you might as well get the hd for 2.00 more. I would go with 2 222's. This way you will pay only 1 extra receiver fee and have 4 tv's to feed.
