Easy Jack Still Required??

Now that we're under the new pricing agreement, are we still required to have the Easy Jack (phone surveillance)? I think it was required in order to get the dual receiver to work for the second TV for free. Anyone know if it's still required?

You will get 6 mos of credits for Duo DVRs if hooked to phone line. Easy Jack is just an alternative to running a line.
