EchoStar adds 6 000 new jobs in U.S. in year

The hiring binge has made Douglas County-based EchoStar which operates the Dish Network satellite- TV service one of the fastest-growing firms in the state when measured by employee growth. Advertisement The new hires boost EchoStar's head count by 40 percent to nearly 21 000 workers. In Colorado EchoStar already one of the state's largest companies has added 1 000 positions in the past 12 months boosting its local work force to 5 000 at three main locations.
