Remember that the dying bird at 129W was designed for 110W. It's now 19 degrees West of its designed position - thus that explains why you see the areas missing (not in white) on the above map as the footprint has been shifted to the West from what was designed.
 
I'm trying to understand the signal strength in southern Baja. I really need the actual contours from the manufacturer (Hughes or SS/L) or close approximations. I believe this is public information that must be filed with the FCC, so it seems like someone might have a copy. Thanks.
