EchoStar Posts Second-Quarter Profit

The Englewood Colorado satellite television broadcaster said it had a net profit of 85.3 million or 18 cents a share compared to 129 million or 26 cents a share in the year-earlier period. Wall Street analysts were expecting earnings of 20 cents per share on average according to a poll by Reuters Estimates.
