Sounds to me like nothing has changed. Carr of the FCC wants Charlie's spectrum to sell to others. NO matter how much Charlie talked to Trump and Carr that day in the White House. I have a feeling that Charlie will pull the bankruptcy trigger if Carr doesn't back off. Might be the only way out of this debt mess he is in with Boost and his 5g network he is still trying to build out after all these years.

I'd like to have StarLink at my RV (permanently sited) but too many tall trees. And not sure I can really justify that cost for the limited use.

I installed a Starlink a month ago and then switched it to the minimum plan, and then paused service. It's there for whenever my main fiber is unavailable. Can reactivate it for a month at a time within a couple minutes when or if I need it.

Lots of TALL trees there. The app to determine suitability for StarLink tells me to find another location. Even from atop the shelter over my RV. 25'-30' above ground level.

Cell texting almost always works, although delivery may be slow. Usually we can do some surfing. Sometimes we can YT on the iPhone or iPad. T-Mobile.

In the car, we can usually YT but it's AT&T. I will never willingly give the Death Star another dollar. Yes, I pay premium; I know.

In areas where they have their own towers, Boost runs on their own network. In areas where they have no native coverage they run on AT&T or T-Mobile, depending on coverage and what SIM you have.

The way I understand it is, but I could be wrong as a lot of this Boost stuff is confusing.

Black SIM = Boost native with AT&T roaming
Orange SIM = Boost native with T-Mobile roaming
Rainbow SIM = Boost native with both AT&T and T-Mobile roaming depending on who has the stronger signal, but I think AT&T may be preferred

Not sure how eSIMs are handled and I'm not sure how Project Genesis (whatever that is) fits into all of this, if that is even relevant anymore.
