EHD on my hr24 suddenly is not showing up

I've had my EHD on my HR 24 500 for over a year and as of today it no longer shows in my recordings list. I've rebooted the ehd and also the HR 24 but no luck. The EHD sounds the same, but the HR 24 doesn't recognize it. Any tips.?

By the way it's an external enclosure with a 1TB hard drive.

I would unplug and disconnect both, give it a few minutes, conect the EHD back to the Recvr, plug in the EHD, let it boot entirely, then plug in the recvr and let it boot up and then look to see which drive it shows.

Just to make sure, are you getting the internal drive instead, can you tell if anything old was on the internal drive?

Powering up like Jimbo mentioned in that order is the only thing you can do, if it doesn't work at that point something failed.

It worked finally, luckily all shows were still there.

As long as it powered back up for you, all your shows should have been there!
