As has been posted in various threads, the next two satellites for Dish, AMC-14 and E-11 will have the capability to provide higher powered signals. It has been speculated in various posts that this will allow Dish to reduce the error correction resulting in an increase in the useable bandwidth per TP. What I am wondering is what are the actual numbers. For example, what is the useable bandwidth per TP when using a 2/3 Forward Error Correction (FEC) versus 3/4, 4/5, 5/6, 6/7 or 7/8. I am not sure if all of these are valid FEC numbers. I also realize that there is also a large difference between using QPSK versus 8PSK. So what are the actual numbers for both QPSK and 8PSK?
