It appears as though there is now a replacement for the defunct Sporting News Interactive..., and it comes from none other than ESPN. It's located at iTV (100) > Sports (4) > ESPN Interactive (1).
It's okay, IMO, but it could have more detailed stories, box scores, and a more compact feel (like the Weather Channel). It shows basic scores, a news ticker, TV listings, and a quarter-square showing ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNews, or ESPN U, and it allows you to select which channel to watch. If only they put banners on all the ESPN channels promoting this...
I wonder why it doesn't allow you to watch games in quarter view, telling you to press " * " to see it in full screen due to "league restrictions?"
