look out folks for a dish rate increase for espn..they got monday night football from abc..1.8 billion in 8 years

It doesn't matter if they're owned by the same people, they both have seperate income structures

They'll just pass the cost on the to the advertisers. I doubt cable/sat subcribers will feel much impact.

It doesn't matter so much that ESPN picked up MNF. Whenever the contract is up they ask for as much an increase as they're allowed. I think it's limited to a few percent every time.

I discovered today that ESPN is passing the Sunday night games to NBC when they get MNF in 2006.

No extra HD football for me - unless tunaboy somehow lives up to his promises, or I can afford to jump to a D* HD DVR. :mad:
