Any word on when comcast will be adding ESPN2HD to their line up? The World Cup is right around the corner and it will be a pain to not be able to watch every game in HD.

Earlier, someone said they thought it was coming in early '06 (hmmmmm). The last HD channel we got was TNT-HD in March '05. I finally gave up and switched to a rival, Knology Cable 3 months ago. They added ESPN2-HD last week and already have the HDnets & Universal-HD, TNT-HD and 8 others; as well as Boomerang, ESPNU and others.

I'm getting ESPNHD broadcast over the HD special events channel on Comcast here in San Francisco, so something definitely seems to be brewing.

ESPN2 HD is now on in Baltimore City, channel 253!

Also on in other areas.

Got it here in Howard County as well on 253. One week and a day before my switch to FIOS, go figure.

Yeah, but you'll still have ESPN2, and you'll gain MHD, National Geographic, HDNet, and HDNet Movies, with HGTV and Food Network on the way. I still plan to switch when FIOS is available.

Last year, in the SF Bay Area, NFL HD was on our HDSE channel when they had an HD event.
