Esquire Channel to be removed on Thursday

looks like DirecTV is joining Dish in dropping the struggling channel co-owned by NBCUniversal and Esquire Magazine. Thursday is the schedule date for the channel to be pulled from the DirecTV lineup.

so far, on the other satellite forum site, they are saying it's getting shutdown, but there's no story online about a NBCUniversal decision to pull the plug on the channel. so it's most likely DirecTV is removing it from it's line up.

Comcast owns the network but don't they have a licensing agreement with Esquire. So I doubt it is really making them much in the licensing.

Channel is still on. The info message is gone, too. This marks the first time I have watched Esquire.
