Ethernet port

I know Dick is finally putting out on the external storage issue for a small $40 fee after 2 long years. I have seen something on the ethernet port being activated on the 15th too but can't find it.

Will the ethernet port become active on that date and what will it entail if it does??

No one said it would be enabled on the 9th. In fact it has been made very clear that it will NOT be enabled until the 15th.

With ethernet enabled, Do you think there will be http access to the 622?

I highly doubt it.. We may be able to schedule recordings via the web in the future but that would be through a Dish Network website.

I don't think we'll ever have direct http access to the unit, at least not with their blessing.
