As far as I understand, some companies want ATSC 3.0 because they want to be able to make more money from personalized ads that use the internet.

What are the things that companies are asking for that are unreasonable?

Not being able to record?

Not being able to see content unless you have something? What something?

What are the likely scenarios that may happen?

And, is it true that ATSC 3.0 may not happen? What a relief.

Is it likely that all rabbit ear TV will cease to be free? Or cease to even exist?

Thank you!

I for one enjoy my OTA "free" TV and hope it continues. There's no way I'm going to subscribe to half a dozen streaming services to watch what I want to watch. Seems like they all carry a different line up and I have no interest in trying to sort out which fits me. I've never seen or heard of a side by side comparison. I've been a Dish customer since I took down my 8ft dish over 25 years ago and when they go belly up, I guess only then will I seek an alternative provider. I don't subscribe to the locals because they're way overpriced for the few main channels when I can get over 10 times as many sub-channels OTA. My ADTH receiver allows me to watch the ATSC 3.0 feeds which are sometimes a little stronger in my poor reception area.

Only thing is OTA, is good for free news and sports, but not so good on heavy censorship bleeping F words and blurring out nudity and show only FCC friendly G-rated junk shows.😛🙄
Thats what it is now yes.....But now you set it up right, you can have a STB and pay to watch....You dont think thats the big picture?

Yes I do subscribe to pay services, but the real thing is USA's free over the air programs containt is more restricted than European's free over the air containts on F words and nudity.

The FCC's mindset is so out of touch in 21st century world since we are not in 1970's anymore!😛🙄

If its scrambled it isnt a factor....In the 80s we had many pay per view channels that showed naked flesh, and movies unedited. They were on UHF, by me.

Yes, as a teenager playing TV sets with old analog scrambled stations at night time while in DC, were very poor scrambling system they used and you can see topless nudity back in the early 80's at that time!😎👍

Haven't been to a church lately, have you?

Not into obsolete medieval religion's outdated stuff, can't afford to have 2nd dark age that we heading to not like what Roman Empire collapsed that did happen.🙄

But I do believe in IDIC, in certain conditions how our civilization grow and evolve and hopefully travel to stars.

Just way, I think about this timeline we are living in now, just saying.🙂🖖
