greetings,

i would like to place my 722 in a cabinet that will not receve the IR remote signal.

is there a device that will maybe connect to the uhf antenna port, run a cable by the tv and then receive IR commands from my Harmony 550?

thank you for any help.

If you send me a PM with your phone or account number I assist you to order a 21.0 IR/UHF remote. This remote can be programmed to control TV1 using a UHF frequency instead of an IR signal.

He wants to use his Harmony remote which rules out just using a 21.0.

To the original poster, google or amazon "Harmont IR Extender" to do what you want. There are less expensive IR repeaters out there as well.

greetings,

i am getting back to his now that my HT is set up.

there appear to be two types of extenders.

this one has little sticky emitters that go over the IR receiver:
BlastIR by Sewell, IR Emitter and Receiver Kit - SW-29311, $44.95

this one uses an emitter that sits close to the equipment:
Logitech Harmony® - Extender System

i am leaning toward the sticky emitter solution.

-do these individual sick on emitters work with a 722?

-i noticed that there are 3 "eyes". which is/are the one(s) that are receiving?

thank you
