External Hard Drive 3 receiver limit

I am currently on my 4th 622. Plugged in the EHD to play a VOOM concert and got a message saying the EHD had to be reformatted due to the three receiver rule.

Since Dish dumped VOOM a lot of this programming will be difficult to replace, A call to Dish support yielded no help. Anyone know if there is a work-around?

That's wierd because I have replaced my 622 5 times this year and have had no problem with it recognizing the new without having to reformat. Maybe I am lucky but I have had the techs resend out a reauthorization code and I haven't lost any recordings. I thought they were supposed to allow the EHD to move back and forth on the account and not a particular reciever. Maybe I am wrong. Call the Techs again and ask for higher support. can't hurt, good luck.
