Is Dish throttling the bitrate on music channels? I seem to max out at around 112kbps on the CD music and SiriusXM stations and it usually just sounds like compressed garbage. When I switch to watching video, the bitrate jumps up into the 2800+ range. Since my internet connection is obviously capable of delivering higher bitrate content upstream, the only thing I can think of is that Dish is throttling the music stations for some reason. This has pretty much killed my hopes of using the DishAnywhere app to stream SiriusXM music in my car, which I'm starting to think is probably the reason they are throttling it.
