Just got a new iMAC and would love to be able to watch TV on it. By all apearances this looks like the right thing, but wanted to see if anyone had any experience with it.

I have an EyeTV hybrid that I've used for several years, first with cable QAM & now antenna. It's not clear if you're looking to watch Dish programming on your iMac with the EyeTV. I tried it using the composite/S-video connections from a 622 to the hybrid, but the quality was definitely lacking even to my eyes. I got a Hauppauge HD PVR & connect component cables from my 722k to the Hauppauge & then USB to my iMac & capture the video with the EyeTV software. The actual EyeTV device isn't used.
