I called customer support last week to inquire about the Family Package which can still be referenced through my on-line account ( if I dig long enough ). I wanted to know if this would be an option when I face the price increase at the end of my promotional period since I watch so much local TV. I was told that this package is not available in my area. I questioned that response as I can not think of a reason a package of locals and a few national channels would be geographically restricted. The CSR was adamant and proceeded to try to sell me HBO and Showtime!
Do any other members have information on this topic? If it is truly only available in certain markets, which ones apply?

Call again and again if you have too. Just get a different CSR. Some of these CSR’s don’t know too much , unfortunately.

Yes, that is about what I thought or it is an outright fabrication to keep me from lowering my bill. I will wait a while to make any more calls as it is so unpleasant. They insist on quizzing me about my internet usage even after I inform them that at&t internet is not available here and my cell phone rates which they can not beat at $26 per month through AARP ( flip phone). I usually need prescription strength headache meds after calling at&t.

Have you ever tried the "Chat" instead, I'm had good luck with that often times.

I just did a "chat" and was told again that the Family Package is not available at my location. I wonder if it is available anywhere or this is just their standard line to all customers?

Is the Family Package the Lowest package available ?
If so, there was a time that you could not get it online or by asking ... you had to have it "Suggested" to you, as a last resort I suppose.

I just finished a chat and was told the family package isn't regional.
