Fed up with Hopper reverting to recorded show when I pause tv

Hi, I mentioned this before and got no response so I will post the details again in hopes someone has a thought!

Ok, so I am watching channel 205 from 3-6, I also have two shows set to record at 4 and 5. I am watching regular tv on 205, not the recorded show. Let's say I pause tv at 4:45, at 5:02 a screen pops up saying that the recorded show has finished and I am kicked to live tv loosing the last 17 minutes from where I paused the tv. It seems if I pause regular tv while a recording is going on the same channel it reverts to the recording and even if I resume play of paused tv when the recording runs out I am forced to live tv loosing all of the time difference from when I paused and when I resumed.

I've had that happen several times as well, and I agree that it is annoying when it happens.

Instead of pausing why not just record the rest of the show?

imo, the better ? is why doesn't the equipment operate as it should. sure there are usually work arounds, but who wants to use them instead of how it was designed
