What is the difference between a feed and a backhaul? Is there one?

Are they all in the clear or are some scrambled?

I would imagine there are interesting things coming in from Israel right now.

I would love to watch sports we don't get in USA. Like soccer, cricket, anything. Anyone ever see that stuff?

Backhauls are usually analog, where they are sending out programming before time to TV stations around the country.

Feeds pop up now and than and disappear soon after. You are right the sky is very busy right now with feeds (Unfortunately) Some horrific scenes not seen on TV here!

Both feeds and Backhauls are FTA.

Starting to see a lot of soccer FTA, and the occasional cricket games. We were lucky enough to be able to see EVERY game in the recent world cup that England got KNOCKED out of :)

Feeds and backhauls are usually the same thing. Backhauls are the feed from the stadium to the station(s). A fronthaul is a feed from the station to other stations.

feeds usually are in the clear analog, digital in the clear or digital scrambled. Analog scrambled feeds like leitch (ABC and AFRTS) or videocypher 1B (CBS) are long gone.
