Finally watching real HD!

Well the new wife and I went and spent some of our wedding present and bought 2 new HD panels, a 32" Sharp Aquos for the bedroom and a 50" Samsung plasma for the family room. Hooked them up to the Diamond last night, tuned in PBS HD on AMC 21 and all I can say is WOW. I can not wait till I can find a sports feed to try them out!

Trust me from my own experience...you'll NEVER want to watch crappy SD again! Congrats!

Heck, you'll find yourself saying "I can't believe I liked the HD PQ from the pay providers". Heck even the PBS and other FTA channels SD blows away anything from a provider. Really discouraging when you realize how much they muck the stuff up.

I do not understand. Do you meen you had a hd receiver on a non hd tv ? it will work like that ?

Yes, most will downconvert to a Standard TV.

all it does is compress the picture. I use to have a HD box with a 32" tube tv and it worked just fine
