Ok...so the wife has agreed to let me go forward with the purchase:devil: :devil:

What I need to know is how do I figure out where the satellites are using the compass to see if I have a clear line of sight????

For instance, if the satellite is orbitting at 110 degrees west longitude, sould I just see if I have a clear view of wherever 110 degrees is on the compass?????

Thanks again.

Ok...think I have answered my own question...using the sat finder....the azimuth is the vertical axis so that is what to use but what does the t and m stand for as there are two azimuth readings????

Thanks again

Thanks I have a large mountain behind my house/south and southwest .
Had C-band and no problem. Not sure about KU band Dish reception.
Dont want to get into an order and find it wont work.
Been trying to find an installer to do a site chk but no luck yet-they're all
too busy. DMO

The line of sight to KU Band satellites is the same as line of sight to the C-Band satellites they are all on the Clarke Belt. Many satelllites do C and KU!

t = true

m= magnetic
