First time ive seen this in any machine.

I have two HR24s. Bedroom and living room.
Living room unit works fine.

Past 4 days my bedroom unit picture feezes up.
I still have sound. Picture stays frozen unitl I change channel.
Then it comes back.

It seems to happen on all channels.
I have tried a reset and the problem still continues.

Called Dtv and ran a test and I do have an error coming up.
Error related to online hookup. Funny, Im hooked online already-works great.
They say its nothing to do with the freezing of the picture.

Again, checked to see if same issue on other unit..Its ok.

Hook ups are all ok..

Maybe unit is not right.

Any ideas???

I do have protection plan. But im concerned that they might replace the HR24 with
something esle(hr22)..

Normally, when you have issues with a recvr you already have, they will replace it with the same model.
I would not worry too much about getting a different recvr, looks like the majority of the areas are using the HR24's now.

You might try doing a reset on the power adapter Swim. Just unplug the 2 coax cables 1st then unplug the power adapter leave it unplug until the green light goes off. Then plug it back in then plug your 2 coax cables back in. Then go back to the receiver and see what happens then.

I've lost several OTA recordings to a blank screen when I try and play, but have not had any issues with the Sat channels freezing or blank recordings. Im starting to think there is an AM21/HR24 issue.

Yeah I had a small setup issue with the sharing the HD Receiver was not seeing the HD DVR listing right. I was told to always try reseting the Swim power adapter 1st before trying to reset your receivers. That fix my minor issue so far have had no more issues.
