I just got off the phone with a Dish CSR and asked her about the status of the LaCrosse DMA HD locals. She stated that they had a meeting and were discussing the ability to have at least information on when things would be converted over to HD. She stated that there lead person told them, due to extreme future changes, they should tell people not to get there hopes up, but things will be happening soon.

Like I said at the intro- take this with a grain of salt, but she at least seemed like she knew what she was talking about.

This is likely a CSR in India. I doubt she was "in the know".

I would tend to agree with you, but this happened to be an american CSR, unless there was a Texan working in India at the time.

I sure it was nothing, but it is info none the less.

Sammy, You from the La Crosse area also?

I am in Holmen, I am currently recieving most of my OTA signals, minus 13 of course To get that would need a really big Antenna, not allowable I am sure by the Apartment complex

I actually live in Eau Claire and I am missing Fox HD. I get 8 18 and 28 so I am missing fox HD. This is more of an affiliate issue, but I still would like to get them through dish, sometimes 8 is unstable way up here.

What I need to do is get a pair and do that move that everyone talks about. Just can't bring myself to do it. I am not even worried about breaking the law, for me its worse, THE WIFE.

99.9 percent of the time CSR's are the last to know, hell most of the time they dont even know when a channel has been launched, even when its on the system.

We are pretty much waiting for the new satellite to be launched arent we, or is there more to it than that.

The part that really sucks is that if you do move to an HD market dish doesn't offer one in WI so theres a good chance you end up missing games.

Hmmm according to this site, Milwaukee was supposed to go HD in 2006! Slap me if I'm wrong, but isn't it almost the end of 2007? Still no HD out of Milwaukee!?!?!

Same thing with the Indy locals. Hey were uplinked for about 3 months, then they yanked them down fast.
