Fox Sports Oklahoma

It is not availble in Dish Network yet. It is on Directv though.

The Thunder's games and the high school football have been on one of the alternate channels so far. Most of the programming is the same as FSSW, so no big loss so far. It is just a pain having to look at the alternates to see which channel is showing the games.

Yes it is truely a pain to find FSN Oklahoma. It jumps around from channels 444-453. I can't tell you how many Thunder games I have missed trying to find which station it is on. I am swiching to Directv myself so I can get the Tulsa locals in HD WITHOUT the 3-10 second delay like Dish has. My question is do I get FSN Oklahoma as a part of the choice package along with FSN Southwest, or do I have to purchase the multi-sports package on Directv? Also, I don't see Dish getting FSN Oklahoma anytime soon because Dish doesn't have FSN Kansas City (Off of FSN Midwest) or FSN Tennessee (Off of FSN South) and they have been in operation longer than FSN Oklahoma.

Sorry to bring up an old thread. I recently upgraded my package so I can now get FS Southwest. I was under the impression that I'd be able to see the Thunder games on one of the HD Alt channels. I tried to watch last night and it wasn't even listed. Whats the deal? Is anyone getting Thunder games this year through E*?

Thanks.

Well, your first problem is that you need Fox Sports Oklahoma, not Fox Sports Southwest. While there didn't used to be a Fox Sports Oklahoma, "A separate subfeed for Oklahoma launched on October 29, 2008 with the first game of the NBA's Oklahoma City Thunder - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Oklahoma_City_Thunder.svg" class="image" title="Oklahoma City Thunder logo"><img alt="Oklahoma City Thunder logo" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/5/5d/Oklahoma_City_Thunder.svg/200px-Oklahoma_City_Thunder.svg.png"@@AMEPARAM@@en/thumb/5/5d/Oklahoma_City_Thunder.svg/200px-Oklahoma_City_Thunder.svg.png. It operates on evenings and weekends with the Fox Sports Southwest brand showing at all times. Besides the Thunder, it also features the Oklahoma Sooners - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:OU-Logo.PNG" class="image"><img alt="OU-Logo.PNG" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/a/a8/OU-Logo.PNG/75px-OU-Logo.PNG"@@AMEPARAM@@en/thumb/a/a8/OU-Logo.PNG/75px-OU-Logo.PNG and Oklahoma State Cowboys - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia@@AMEPARAM@@/wiki/File:Oklahoma_State_University_Athletics_logo_(four_colors).svg" class="image"><img alt="Oklahoma State University Athletics logo (four colors).svg" src="http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/5/57/Oklahoma_State_University_Athletics_logo_%28four_colors%29.svg/100px-Oklahoma_State_University_Athletics_logo_%28four_colors%29.svg.png"@@AMEPARAM@@commons/thumb/5/57/Oklahoma_State_University_Athletics_logo_%28four_colors%29.svg/100px-Oklahoma_State_University_Athletics_logo_%28four_colors%29.svg.png." I live in Dallas, so I get Fox Sports Southwest, and I see only Mavs games on it, when they are on that channel.

At any rate, you need the oklahoma feed, which I believe would either require a "move", or a purchase of nba league pass.

First, you'd need to be in the Thunder market area or the games will be blacked out. That could be solved by "moving." Second, the game would have to be aired in HD to be on an HD Alternate channel. It might be one one of the SD alternate channels if it isn't. Other than that, I don't know. They should be there. I see them listed when I scan through my guide at times, but I don't know if it is their feed or another.

Well I am in the OKC market, otherwise why would I have posted? I'll check back on the next FS game to see if its on there. I guess that the game wasn't aired in HD and I was looking in the wrong place for it. We'll see..

I couldn't just assume that. Some people believe the sports pack will get them out of market games. I've looked at the Thunder schedule and apparently all games should be HD when they are on Fox Sports and local tv. Dish probably just didn't show it. They do that sometimes.

BTW, I wish FS Tennessee would air more Grizzlies games in HD. The Thunder got a sweet deal if every game is done in HD.

Currently Dish and FSN is in a pissing contest over money. Dish refused to pay for twenty games of the Dallas Stars that should be on FSSW this year. That being my regional sports provider I couldnt even recieve it on my center ice package. I doubt that dish will add any more fox sports networks until this is resolved.
