From DISH on the Hopper Internet Connector (HIC) and DLNA

I only have one Hopper, where exactly did you connect the HIC to work?

Do you also have a Joey? If you have a LAN connection in the vacinity, you can connect the HIC at the joey, using the pass-thru ion the HIC. It's much easier than dealing with extra wiring and a tap by the Hopper.

And that is exactly what I plan to do! I have an wireless bridge at the Joey location also. Thanks!

Any official word form Dish on exactly what video formats it supports? I'm tying to build a profile for serviio, but don't have much to go on. Intel PnP Tools Device Spy sees Hopper, but Hopper won't report it's supported file formats.

Hopper spec sheet lists MKV, MP4, Music-MP3, Images JPEG.

I installed a HIC last night. Had ethernet right by where the splitter for my two Joeys is at. So I used the pass through on the HIC right before the splitter. Both Joey's and the Hopper are able to do DLNA now perfectly using Playon.
