Is this a good meter to align DTV sl3 dish? I will be using it when I go camping.

SL3 or SL3S. It'll do both but if it's SWM youll need an ASL (alignment signal locator)

I bought another version called a Tracker Light and sent it back. They seem identical just different brands. It is poorly documented and does not have any DirecTV birds in the database. There is PDF that lists four 101 freqs and two 119 freqs that must be manually entered. One seemed to work providing QOS, so maybe it was working properly. It claims to give Azimuth Info for the bird but it is True rather than Magnetic. Unless you pack a Variation chart it isn't of much use.

It does not work with my ASL-1 but did seem to work with a "green label" SWM splitter. The seller said it won't work with any DirecTv stuff. He then when on to trash SWM in general.
