Please how can i use the 118 FSS LNb for 097W.
I know I have read about it somewhere but i just could not find it
please help

Can you post what is actually printed on the LNB?
If the LNB was designed for 118 then it could be circular polarization. 97W requires a linear polarization LNB to receive it.

this is a Dish network FSS LNB download.jpg

That's not an FSS LNB. It is circular polarized but has a LO of 10750 instead of 11250 like the DBS LNBs. You need a linear LNB for 97W
Dish uses an FSS linear LNB on the old 105 and 121 SuperDishes

i think it would scan double if you used it on 97w,v and h transponders for each transponder.
That has to do with the fact that DishPro LNBs are Bandstacked and unless your receiver supports them properly you end up with doubles when scanning. The 118 LNB will not work.

Yep that particular one is circular. If you scrounging around to find a used LNBF to re-purpose. Look around for an old Dish Net 105 SuperDish.
