I was given a Dish 300 dish, then picked up a SonicView-360 FTA locally.

So... I removed the stock LNB and used some wood to attach the universal LNB to the Dish 300 (pic)... Yes it works have 80+ channels on Galaxy 19 (S:99 Q:20-40), but I can't leave it like this.

I want to pickup a bigger dish better dish. What would do you use and what would you recommend?

There are tons of old SKY dishes in the SDO area and they work very well for FTA - and the LNB holder doesn't require a mod - bolts right up. Generally you can get them free (big plus) and they are great experiment dishes until/or if you move on to a BUD.

Grab the existing J pole if you can though - it is thicker walled than the "standard" and really helps with the stability of the larger dish - especially in our winds.
