Iran is not the place to live for the FTA hobbyist. Being an FTA dealer is a money maker though, as people simply go buy new equipment after confiscation.

I remember watching a documentary, about 3-4 years ago, about the life of some FTA installer, in the Middle East.
Anyone remembers that documentary, was he living in Iran or Syria ?
Anyway, it showed how risky is that job in his country.

I think that doc, was mentioned in some thread, in which we also discussed about the hardships for FTAers in certain caribbean island, with a 4 letter name.

Just the THOUGHT of this happening anywhere is scary because of the concept behind it!
We should be grateful, here for the things we take for granted (or thought-of as) as being "our rights"...even though receiving satellite is not a "right" at all.
(but apparently OTA "is" or the FCC wouldn't have bought so many converter boxes for so many people!!....think about it!)
