Funky circular (?) Cband LNB

At the electronics flea market today I spotted this Chaparral LNB for $5. I'd never seen one like this. The guy selling it says it's for circular polarization.

I almost bought it, but I already have too much junk and I'm not sure I can see much circular polarized stuff from California. I thought you might be interested to see it.

That is an odd duck, never seen one of those. Would like to know exactly what it is, I dont have a clue.

Looks like an old school circular LNA. I recall seeing something similar in the Caribbean in the late 80's aimed at a Euro satellite.

Yep old LNA, I have a couple of those around here somewhere in my junk. Cool find!
